What is Mindful Therapy?
Mindful Therapy integrates insights from the contemplative traditions of Mindfulness Meditation, Existential Therapy, and aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Contemporary Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
My approach is one of openness to the lived experience of every client, recognising the primacy of the relationship in which therapy occurs, and holding a compassionate view of human pain and anguish as part of the human condition, seeing them as inevitable difficulties of life and living.
Mindful therapy will empower you with powerful and life-transforming possibilities of being present to life, living life intentionally, choosing to respond with sensitivity, creativity, courage and compassion, and in taking ownership and responsibility to give direction to your life.
Based in Guildford, Surrey, I provide a range of services:
- Therapy for individuals and couples who are facing issues in their lives, from depression to phobias to relationship difficulties
- Coaching individuals for enhancing self confidence, self belief and enhancing performance
- Clinical supervision for psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors
- Consultation for coaches
For those unable to meet me in Guildford, I offer my services via Skype and telephone.
I also run Mindfulness workshops and courses for anyone who wishes to bring mindfulness-based approaches into their work and personal life.
